A teenager, Nana Zinabu, aged between 18 and 19, was discovered dead in her bedroom at Twifo Praso in the Twifo Atti Morkwa District of the Central Region.
An eyewitness, a housemate of the deceased, recounted that she stumbled upon the body around 4:30 a.m. while preparing food for sale. She noticed that Zinabu’s door was unusually ajar and upon entering, found her lying naked.
The witness added that the victim’s mouth appeared to have been sealed with a glue-like substance, and apples along with three used condoms were found near the body.
She immediately raised an alarm, prompting neighbors to rush to the scene and report the incident to the Praso Police Station.
The tragic event has sparked fear and panic among Twifo Praso residents, especially since Nana Zinabu was close to completing her apprenticeship in sewing.
Her body has been sent to the Twifo Atti Morkwa District Hospital for further investigations.
Meanwhile, District Police Commander, Superintendent Charles Addei Boateng, has assured the public that investigations are underway and vowed that those responsible will be brought to justice.
