In a recent interview with DJ Akademiks, music mogul Kanye West openly discussed his past relationship with ex-wife Kim Kardashian. The 47-year-old rapper took responsibility for his decision to marry Kardashian, admitting, “That was my fault. No, that was my fault.”
West also revealed that he had doubts early in their relationship about having children with Kardashian. He stated, “I didn’t want to have kids with this person after the first two months of dating her. But that wasn’t God’s plan.”
West Addresses Custody Issues and Music Dispute
The rapper also spoke about his ongoing disagreements with Kardashian, particularly her attempt to prevent the release of the song Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine, which features their daughter, North, alongside Sean “Diddy” Combs.
“When my daughter was put on the song, I realized I didn’t have control over her name or likeness,” West said. He further questioned the fairness of their custody arrangement, saying, “I don’t even have a 50-50 say in decisions about my kids, so how is this joint custody? My children are celebrities, and I have no voice.”
Previously, West had shared screenshots of a conversation with Kardashian regarding North’s participation in the song and the trademarking of their children’s names.
In a text exchange, Kardashian explained, “I asked you at the time if I could trademark her name. You agreed. When she turns 18, the trademark will be hers. So stop. I sent over paperwork to keep her out of the Diddy song for her protection. Only one person can hold the trademark!” (via Page Six).
West responded by demanding that she change the arrangement. In his messages, he warned, “Amend it or I’m going to war. And neither of us will recover from the public fallout. You’re going to have to kill
