The Tema Regional Police Command has arrested two individuals in connection with the robbery of a businessman in Ashaiman, located in the Greater Accra Region.
The first suspect, Karim Fatao, was taken into custody on February 26, 2025, the same day the crime was committed.
The second suspect, Wonder Babanawo, who had been on the police’s wanted list for multiple robbery cases in Ashaiman and parts of Tema, was apprehended on March 29, 2025.
According to a statement issued by ASP Stella Dede Dzakpasu, the Tema Regional Police Public Relations Officer, a search of the suspects led to the recovery of:

A Ruger pistol with 15 rounds of ammunition

30 mobile phone covers
-
Six SIM cards
-
A quantity of dried plant material suspected to be Indian hemp

One Samsung tablet
-
Three copies of a land indenture
The statement further noted that Karim Fatao was arraigned before court on March 3, 2025, where he was remanded into police custody.
Meanwhile, Wonder Babanawo remains in police custody and is expected to appear in court soon to face legal proceedings.
